Warp Brush Globe

Needed tools:
Paint Shop Pro 8, 9, or X
Xero Sparkle
What you make is yours but please don't steal my
work.
Open the image that you would like to use for your
globe.
Duplicate and close the original to preserve it.
Use your selection tool, shape set to circle.
Make a selection on your image that includes that area you want
included in your animation.
Selection > Invert.
Press your delete key.
Selections invert again.
DO NOT DESELECT.

Make a new layer.
Effects > 3D effects > Cutout
Apply the following settings.

Make a new layer.
Apply the same cutout changing the Vertical and Horizontal to 2.
DO NOT DESELECT.
In your layer palette, make your bottom layer
active.
Select your Warp Brush tool.

In the toolbar across the top of the screen,
select the outward mode. (see screen shot below)

Set the size so that it is the same size as your
selection.

Place your mouse directly over your selection
Press and hold your mouse for one or two seconds.
The longer you hold your mouse, the more it will warp.
If you have warped too much, undo and try again.
Your image should look a tad like the image below.

With the selection still in place, CTRL + SHIFT + C to copy merged.
CTRL + V to paste as a new image.
On your new image, use your magic wand tool, tolerance set to 0,

In the toolbar, set the mode to Add.

Click on the 4 transparent corners. Selections >
Invert.
Make a new layer.
Apply Xero > Sparkles.

I used the settings below, but you are free to
play and find the settings that you like best.

Make a new layer, Apply the SAME sparkle settings.
Make a new layer, Apply the SAME sparkle settings.
You should have 4 layers now.
The bottom is your warped image, the top 3 are sparkles.
Deselect and save in psp7 compatible format.
Open Animation Shop.
Click File > Preferences > General Program Preferences > Layered
Files.
Match your settings to the screen shot below.
Click ok.

Open your image.
Your first frame will have no sparkles.
The first frame is automatically selected upon opening, press your
delete key once.
Select all frames (CTRL + A)
Animation > Frame properties.
The default speed is 10, change it to 20, click ok.

While all frames are still selected,
Animation > Animation Properties.
Click Opaque and select white as the background color.

That's it. You're done. All that's let to do is save.
