Animated Wagon

Needed tools:
A tutorial on how to save your image and how to manage selections in psp 8 and 9.
Needed Patterns

Open an image 432 X 308 transparent
do not make any new layers. All selections are on the SAME layer.
load wheel2.sel
Flood black, contract by 1, delete.
On the same layer, load wheel4.sel
Flood black, contract by 1, delete.. Deselect.
load 01.sel.
Flood black, contract by 1, press delete. Deselect.
Save as back.psp.
This will give you an outline that you will need for placement in Animation shop.

Set this image aside for now.

Open a new image, same size. Save this image as front.psp.
Load 01.sel
Flood with #FEFEFD

I have found that the Inner Bevel that comes with PSP did not give me the effect I wanted.
Eye Candy 4000 worked well.
Apply Eye Candy 4000 Bevel Boss these settings
Click on settings and select the Subtle Button preset.

Click on the lighting tab and move the light to as close to middle as you can.

Back to the basic tab.
Slide the Bevel width up just a "ginch".

Click ok.
Do not deselect yet.

Activate your draw tool set to freehand. size set to 2, Vector not checked.
Use your dropper tool and select the color of the bevel as your foreground color.
Select a slightly darker color for the background.

Make some lines at the top of your image to show slight wrinkling in the material that the wagon is made of.
Deselect.

Make a new layer.
Load 02.sel
fill with #353535

Deselect.

Make a new layer.
Load 03.sel
Fill with barnwood4 pattern, lower the brightness to -58

Deselect.
Make a new layer.

Load 04.sel
Fill with the log pattern.
Make a new layer.
Load 05.sel, fill with finished wood (Finished wood comes with Paint Shop Pro)
Load 06.sel, fill with finished wood.
Deselect
Merge visible layers.
Make a new layer.
Load wheel1.sel.
Flood with Black, contract by 1, press delete.
This will make a very thin black circle that will serve as a spacer in Animation
Shop.
On the same layer, load wheel3.sel.
flood black, contract by 1, delete.
Merge visible layers.
Save.

Lets make your wheels.
Please visit my Animated wheel tutorial to make the wheels, when you have 1 wheel, come back and we'll go from here.
Hint, your wheels will have to be filled with the bardwood4 pattern.
Welcome back!

Please make 3 duplicates (SHIFT + D) of your wheel for a total of 4 wheels.
Select one of them and resize to 153 X 153.
Save this image as 1.psp

Select one of the other wheel images.
Resize to 123 X 123
Save as 2.psp.

Select one of the two remaining wheels
resize 110 X 110
Save as 3.psp.

Select the last remaining wheel.
Resize to 91 X 91.
Save as 4.psp.

OK now we have all of our 4 wheels done and ready for the image.
WHEW!
Time for a coffee break!

Welcome back.
Open Animation shop
Here we go!
Click File > Preferences > General Program Preferences > Layered Files
Be sure that Each layer is in a separate frame is checked and click ok
We have to work with the wheels in the back first.
Open back.psp.
Right click and select duplicate selected. repeat for a total of three frames.
Open 2.psp
select all (CTRL + A) and copy (CTRL + C)
Activate your back wagon image.
Select all.
Paste (CTRL + E) the wheel right on top of the front spacer.

Close 2.psp without saving.
Open 4.psp
Select all, copy
Activate your wagon image, select all, paste on top of the back spacer.
Close 4.psp without saving.

Open your front.psp. Duplicate selected 2 times for a total of 3 frames.
Open 1.psp. Select all, copy
Activate your front wagon image, select all, paste on top of your front spacer.
Close 1.psp without saving

Open your 3.psp.
Select all, copy.
Activate your front wagon image, select all, paste on top of the back spacer.

Now you have two images open, each one has 2 wheels pasted onto it.
Activate the front wagon (the one with the wagon). Select all, copy.

Activate your back wagon image. Select all, Paste.
Make sure that the wagon and the outline on the back image match up perfectly during the pasting.

SAVE..WHEW!
you're done.
