To print this tutorial, click the print button on your browser. Open the image that you would like to work with. It should be an image of 2 things (babies, puppies, kittens, etc. close together like the one below. Press SHIFT + D to make a duplicate and close the original to preserve it.
Use your lasso tool and select one of the heads.
Once its selected, press CTRL + C to copy and CTRL + V to paste as a new image. Delete the head from the original.
Do the same with the other head.
Make 2 duplicates of your headless image. Name them base1, base2 , base3.
Turn off base 2 and base 3. Refer to one of the head images. Copy. Refer to your base image and paste as a new layer. Rename this layer something 1. In my case this looks like the boy puppy so I renamed it boy1. Use your mover tool to put the head back where it was in the original.
Do the same with the other head and rename girl 1
Make a duplicate of girl 1 and boy 1. Rename girl 2 and boy 2 Turn off base 1, girl 1 and boy 1 so that the only layers that are on are base 2, girl 2 and boy 2. Position base 2 under girl 2 and boy 2.
Activate the boy 2 layer. Use your deformation tool and rotate the boy 2 head slightly to the left and move it in just a tad. Not too much. You will notice some transparency showing between base 2 and boy 2.
Use your mover tool and click on the base 2 layer. Not not move it. Clicking on it will activate it for you instead of having to use the layer palette. Use you clone tool set to 15 and RIGHT click on the base 2 layer just below the transparency. LEFT click on the transparency just above where you right clicked. Repeat this process until the transparency is filled in.
Use your mover tool and click on girl 2. Do not move it, just click on it to activate it. Use your deformation tool to rotate slightly to the right and inward a tad.
Activate base 2 and use the clone tool to fill in the transparency between base 2 and girl 2.
In your layer palette, Duplicate girl 2 and rename girl 3. Duplicate boy 2 and rename boy 3. Move base 3 under girl 3 and boy 3. Turn off all layers except base 3, girl 3 and boy 3.
You will again be able to see some transparency but we'll fix that when it's time.
Use your mover tool and activate boy 3. Use your deformation tool and rotate slightly to the left and inward a tad.
Activate base 3 and use your clone tool and fill in the transparency between base 3 and boy 3.
Activate girl 3. Use your deformation tool and rotate slightly to the right and inward a tad. Activate base 3 and use your clone tool tool fill in the transparency between base 3 and girl 3.
Your layer palette should still have only base 3, boy 3 and girl 3 on and all others off. Merge visible layers and rename the merged layer "3".
Turn off your 3 layer and turn of your base 2, girl 3 and boy 2 layers. Merge visible layers and rename the merged layer "2"
Turn off your 2 layer and turn on base 1, girl 1 and boy 1. Merge visible layers and rename the merged layer "1"
Turn on all 3 of your layers.
