Open a scenic image. Remove any borders that may prevent it from tiling well


Merge visible if your image has more than one layer.
Copy.
Open Animation shop, paste as a new image.
Right click and select Duplicate Selected from the drop down menu.


Now you have 2 identical frames. Click on frame 1.
Click Effects > Insert Image transition.


In the transition window, select the wipe effect.

Please make a note of the settings and make your settings match.
Also click on the customize button and adjust those settings as well.


Click OK to apply the effect

You will notice that all frames EXCEPT the last frame are selected.
(PSP 7 thru 9 can export to psp)
Copy.
In PSP paste as new.
You will have a layered image in PSP


Keep the top layer active and make a new layer

Add your text, the font is your choice (fat fonts work best)
The color does not matter as long as nothing is set to null.


Select none.
Use your deformation tool to stretch out your text to fill the image area.


With the text layer selected, select all, float, defloat, Invert. Go through all of your layers and press delete.
This will remove the area outside the text. Do not select none yet.


Invert again.
Make the top layer active.
Apply cutout with these settings.


Select none.
Save your image in PSP format.
Back to Animation shop.
Set your preferences to "Keep layers as separate frames"


open your image.
You will notice that the last frame us the cutout only.
Select that frame. CUT and paste as new


Make your text image active again.
Click on propagate paste.


Select all.
Use the scroll bar to be sure that frame 1 is visible.

Grab the cutout off of the the image you just pasted and drop it onto frame 1. Be sure the placement is correct.


Double click on your crop tool to open your crop properties.
Click on surround opaque and click ok.
On your toolbar click on the crop button.
 

That's it. Resize to your liking and save.
