Reflections

Needed tools:
Flood
Zip file
Put the gradients in your PSP gradient folder
and the flood presets in your flood preset folder.
 


Open a new image 400 X 200 transparent

Flood with KS_SEA with the settings shown below.


In your layer palette duplicate your layer 2 times for a total of 3 identical layers.
Make the top layer active.
Effects > Plugins > Flaming pear > Flood.
Select the Dark water setting.

Set the Horizon and offset to 0, click ok


In the layer palette, make your middle layer active.
Apply the same flood settings but change the Complexity to 20.
Click ok.


Make your bottom layer active. Apply the same flood settings,
change the complexity to 35. Click OK.

Save this image as water.psp and close.


Open a new image, same size, flood with your KS_SKY

 


Open tube tube that you would like to use in your image.

Use your crop tool to crop off the bottom half.


Copy and paste on your sky. (don't close the tube yet as you still need it)
In your layer palette, duplicate your layer 2 times for a total of 3 identical layers.
Save as sky.psp and close.


Activate your tube. CTRL + I to flip.
|In your layer palette, duplicate 2 times for a total of 3 identical layers.
Make the top layer active.
Apply Flood using the ordinary water preset.
Remember to slide the Horizon and offset both to 0.

Apply the same preset to the other layers making slight changes to the waviness and complexity.
Save this image as reflection.psp and close.


Open Animation shop.
File > Preferences > General Program Preferences > Layered files.
Be sure that "Keep layers as separate frames" is selected and click ok.

Open both water and reflection.

Make reflection active.
CTRL + A to select all. CTRL + C to copy.
Make water active.
CTRL + A to select all. CTRL + E to paste the reflection onto the water.
Be sure to line the reflection up properly so that top, sides and bottom are lined up.


You can close your reflection image as you are done with it.


While still in Animation shop, make a new 400 X 400 transparent image.
Duplicate frames till you have 3.


 


Activate your water/reflection image. CTRL + A to select all. CTRL + C to copy.
Activate your blank 400 X 400.
Select all and paste (CTRL + E).
Be sure that the water and reflection are on the bottom half.


 


Open your sky image. Select all and copy.
Make your 400 X 400 active. Select all and paste (CTRL + E) the sky onto the bottom.
To match the two halves, you might wind up with some transparency on the sides. That's ok,.

Use your crop tool to remove and of the unwanted edges.


Select all. ALT + ENTER. Change the speed to 25.


 


That's it. You're done.
SHIFT + S to resize should you want to do so.
