Xenofex2

Open an image 300 X 300 transparent.

Select the pattern that you would like to use, I made my background myself and wrote a tutorial on how to make one like it. Here's the link if you would like to visit it.

Fill your image. Activate your selection tool set to circle.

Make a small circle in the center of your image.

Click Effects > Plug-in Filters > Alien Skin Xenofex 2 > Rip Open.

In the Rip Open window, click on settings > White Underside.

Mess with the settings here until you get the effect that you like. Here are the settings that I used.

Open the tubes that you would like to use in your image.

Arrange them so that they all poke through the hole at the same place. See the arrow below showing that the stems of all the flowers meet at the same place.

In your layer palette, activate your bottom layer. Use your lasso tool set to freehand and select the area of the bottom layer that you would like to duplicate to cover the tubes.

Click Selections > Promote to Layer.

In your layer palette you will have a new layer called Promoted Layer. Move this layer to the top.

Merge visible layer and save. VOILA.

You're done. Great gob
