Out of the Frame
by kim@pixelbit.com

What you make is yours to keep, but please don't steal my work.

Needed tools
Flaming Pear Flood
Eye candy 4000

The Frame of your choice (thicker frames work best)
and the tube that you would like you use. The tube should have something that can hang out over the frame.

Resize your stuff so the inside of the frame shows the part that you want.
NOTE. In this image, her hand is the part that will be on the outside of the frame.
So I made sure that the frame covers her hand.

In the layer palette, Turn the frame off. Make the bottom image active.
Use your lasso tool set to point to point.
Select just the part that will be on the outside of the frame. In this case, her arm and hand.
COPY.
Make a new layer.
Paste into selected.
Deselect.

Turn the hand layer off.
Turn the frame layer on.
Bottom layer active.
Use either magic wand  or selection tool, which ever works best for your frame,
Select the inside transparent area of your frame.
In the image below, O also selected the parts in the triangles.
Selection < invert. Press delete. Deselect.

Crop.
Increase your canvas size to leave lots of room for your water effect.
Make sure that the TOP location button is checked.

Effects > Plugins > Flaming pear > Flood.
in the center of the flood window, click the top button to select an effect.
Direct your browse window to the presets in your flood folder.
Use the effect that works best with your image.
Once you have chosen an effect that works best with your image, adjust the horizon line so it is in the right location.

In your layer palette, make 2 duplicates of the bottom layer for a total of 3.
Make the top duplicate active.

Use your selection tool to make a big rectangle that includes
the part that has been flooded and some of the transparent area around it.
Effects > Eye candy 4000 > Jiggle
Select the subtle bubbles setting.

Select the middle of the background layers.. Apply the same jiggle effect but click the Random seed button 1 time.
Repeat for the last layer, remember to click the random seed button.

Make sure that the hand is the top layer and the frame is the layer under it
Make the hand layer active, Merge down.
For psp 7, turn off all layers except these 2 and merge visible.

Make 2 duplicates of your frame. place 1 frame above each background image.

HINT
Some of these images look better with the frame UNDER the animated area (see the other image in this tutorial)

Right click on top frame. Merge down
(PSP 7 turn off all layers except these 2 and merge  visible)

Right click on next frame. Merge down. Repeat for the last frame layer.
Now you should have 3 layers.
Make sure that you have selected NONE and all layers are on.
Save on psp format.
If this is your first time using PSP 8 or higher, in the save window, click options. Set the compatibility to psp 7.
Open animation Shop.
File > Preferences > general Program preferences > Layered Files.
Match your settings to the image below, click ok.

Open your file.
Select all (CTRL + A)
Press ALT + ENTER and change the speed to 30.

While all frames are still selected. Click Animation > Animation Properties.
Click Opaque and select white as your color.
You need a color here because most of the water effects are partially transparent and won't look right without a background color.

Re crop your image.

Resize to your liking and save.
That's it. You're done.
