Open a line art image if you have one. If you don't have one, you may copy the one that is provided below.

Thank you Jess for giving me this image to use and share.

Make a duplicate (SHIFT + D) and close the original to preserve it.

In your layers palette, promote to Layer.

Activate your Magic Wand tool and use the settings shown below.

Select the outer part of your image and delete it.

We are going to work on the areas that will NOT be glittered first.

With your Magic Wand tool still selected, hold your SHIFT key down and select all of the heart in the background.

Fill with the color of your choice.

Float (CTRL + F).

Apply cutout with the settings shown below. Deselect.

Continue selecting, flooding, floating and applying cutout until all of the sections EXCEPT the areas that will be glittered are complete.

Hold the SHIFT key down and select the areas that will be glittered.

Save this selection to Alpha channel.

Fill with the color of your choice.

Apply Noise.

Use the settings below.

The Noise window will show noise being applied to the entire image, but when you click OK it will only be aplied to the selected areas.

Float and apply cutout with the same settings.

Deselect.

Make a new layer

Load your selection from Alpha Channel.

Flood with the same color.

Apply the same noise but raise the noise percentage by 1.

Float and apply the same cutout.

Deselect.

Make a new layer

Load your selection from Alpha Channel.

Flood with the same color.

Apply the same noise but raise the noise percentage by 1.

Float and apply the same cutout.

Deselect.

You should now have 3 layers in your layer palette.

Save your image and open Animation Shop.

Click File > Preferences > General Program Preferences.

Click the Layered Files tab.

Click Each frame shows first and current layers. Click OK.

Click File > Open and open your image.

Add any pretties you like and you're done.

Save your animation.
