A quick note..This tutorial teaches an effect only, which is not copyrightable by anyone but Jasc. I am only copyrighting the images and text.

Select the image that you would like to add this text effect to.

An image with a dark background would be best.

Open Animation shop and click File > Open and bring up the image that you will be working with.

Here's the one that I will be using.

Click Effects > Insert Text Effects

Here's what your window will look like.

Pay attention to the places that are pointed out by the arrows.

Type in the text that you would like in your image.

Click the Font button to select the font and size of your text.

Make sure the backlight effect is selected and click the customize button.
