by kim@pixelbit.com

With this technique, you can make different shaped Easter eggs in a flash.

Please note that this tutorial is copyrighted. You are welcome to visit my pages as often as you like, but please don't steal them.

Lets get started.

1. Open a new transparent image, 300 X 300

2. Select preset shapes, triangle, create as vector checked.

3. Set your color palette to the foreground and background of your choice.

4. Draw a triangle on your image.

5. Select the pen tool. This will make it possible to edit the nodes.

6. Right click on the top node. Click on Node type, select symmetric.

Your image will look like this.

7. Repeat for the other two nodes.

8. Use your mouse to push the bottom two nodes around to form the shape of your egg.

9. When you're done, right click on the vector layer (in the layer palette) and convert to raster.

VOILA. An Easter egg.

You are now free to add any bevel or cutout of your choice.

I hope you have enjoyed my tutorial. Have fun.
