Needed tools Flaming Pear (either Blade pro or Super blade pro)


Open a new transparent image 500 x 500

Make your preset shape tool active with these settings

Select the Ellipse shape

Line with = 10

Color palette = foreground WHITE, background NULL

Place your mouse about 1/4 inch in from the upper left corner,
Press and HOLD your shift key and make your circle as big as you can get it without it touching the sides.


Select all, with your selection tool, click on your circle to form the selection around the circle.
Apply Blade pro (or super blade pro) using the gold, basic preset.


Open another image, same size. Make your TEXT tool active, mode is FLOATING

In your color palette, make BOTH foreground and background WHITE

Use the font and size of your choice, make your text the numbers from 1 thru 0

With the selection still active, apply the same Blade pro effect. save and set aside for later


Open your favorite scenery tube. copy

Back to your clock.

Use your MAGIC WAND tool. Click inside the circle.

Fill the selection with WHITE


CTRL + SHIFT + L to paste into selected. so the scenery is pasted on top of the white.
(as I was making this image I realized that I had some transparent areas in my scenery. This will deal with that)

DO NOT DESELECT

With the selection still active ,make a new layer. Apply CUTOUT with these settings

Merge visible. make a new layer.


Make your PEN tool active with these settings

Line style arrowhead at both ends

Color palette, both foreground and background are still white

line width is your choice. I suggest about 4 or 5.


Press and hold your shift key to insure a straight line, Make a line that fits inside your clock


Make your selection tool active.

Now we have to center you arrows

Make the top layer active (your line)
copy, delete, paste as a new layer

Select all, click on the line with your selection tool, apply blade pro, same preset


With your selection tool still active, move your mouse around until the Y coordinate is 250. This will insure that you are selecting exactly 1/2 the line

Select the bottom 1/2 of the line, press delete.

select none.

In layer palette, duplicate this layer.

Your layer palette should look like this


In your layer palette make the BLANK layer the top layer, turn OFF the arrow layers

Make your number image active.

select the number that you want with your selection tool, copy

On your clock, press CTRL + E to place the number

***HINT***

After you have placed your numbers, you can still select misplaced things and rearrange them by selecting and moving)

Start with the 12, 3, 6, 9

Place the rest of your numbers

Move the numbers layer under the arrows. Your layer palette should look like this.


In your layer palette, turn off the top layer, merge visible.
Turn the top layer back on.

Make the top layer active, select all, (that part is important) COPY

Open Animation Shop, paste as new (CTRL + V)

if you selected all before you copied, you should have a 500 x 500 image in Animation shop
save your image in psp format.


Back to PSP, make the merged layer active, copy

Paste as new in Animation Shop.

Now you have both layers as separate images in Animation Shop.


Make the arrow image active.

Click Effects > Insert Image effects > Rotate

Here are the settings

Click on customize and be sure that the max number is set to 360. click ok.


You will notice that your arrow image now has 11 frames.

Make the clock image active.

Duplicate your frames until that, too has 11.
warning. you may have more than 1 frame selected so watch your frames numbers


Make the arrow image active, select all (CTRL + A) and copy

Make the clock image active, select all and paste into selected (CTRL + E)

make sure that the arrow that you are pasting is directly on top of the arrow in the clock image


Select all, Click Animation > Frame Properties. Set the speed to 50.

That's it. resize to your liking and save.
