Needed tools:

KPT5

If you don't have KPT5, I have prepared a tube that you can use. here is the link

Wreath tube

Christmas lights tube provided by Jasc.

Jasc.

Click on Downloads, then on picture tubes.

Open a new image 500 X 500 transparent.

In your color palette, set your foreground to the color of your choice, the background to null.

Use your line tool with the settings shown below,

Draw a straight line.

Draw some X's on your line. Remember that the X's on the top should be smaller than the X's on the bottom.

Continue to make your X's until you have your original line covered they way you want them.

Press CTRL + A to select all. Use your selection tool. Click on the lines, The selection should conform to the lines. the top of your image should say Floating Selection. if it doesn't, press CTRL + F to float.

Apply KPT5 Fiber Optix

The next few screen shots are the settings that I used. You are free to adjust them to your liking.

When you have the settings that way you want them, apply the effect and deselect.

The image below was made with the image above. I simply resized and CTRL + E a bunch of times.

To animate your wreath, make a new layer named LIGHTS

Adjust the size of the bulbs to your liking and place them on your wreath.

Save your image in PSP format.

Open Animation Shop

Click File > Preferences > General program Preferences > Layered Files.

Be sure that Keep layers in separate frames is selected and click OK.

Click File > Open. Open your image

You will have 2 frames, click on the second one. Click Effects > Insert Image Effects

Select the Rotate Colors Effect

You will now have 12 frames. The first is the wreath and the other eleven are lights.

Select only the lights frames

The easiest way to do this is to select all (CTRL + A) then hold your CTRL key down and click on the first frame. The will leave the other frames selected.

Press CTRL + X to CUT the light frames.

Now you have ONLY the wreath frame left. Click on it.

Click on your duplicate button a bunch of time until you have 11 wreath frames

BE CAREFUL. Keep a close eye on the number of frames, if you go over 11, delete a few till you have NO MORE than 11.

Select all again (CTRL + A)

Press CTRL + E to paste the lights onto the wreaths

While all frames are selected, right click and select Frame Properties (or just press ALT + ENTER)

change the speed to 30.

Resize if desired and save. You're done.
