Needed tools
Open an image 70 X 400 Transparent
Activate your preset shape tool. Set the stoke to null and the fill to white. The shape is ellipse.
At the bottom of your image, draw a small circle. Apply Eye Candy 4000 > Glass. Click on settings and select the Aqua setting. Click ok
Press CTRL + C to copy and CTRL + E to paste. place the new bubble above the original one being sure to leave a little space between the two. The image below is magnified to show the spacing.
CTRL + E again and place a third bubble. Repeat until you have a whole row of bubbles.
In your layers palette, duplicate this layer. Use your mover tool and drag the new layer down slightly.
Duplicate your top layer and drag the new layer down slightly.
Save your image and open animation shop. In Animation Shop click on File > Preferences > General Program Preferences. Click on the Layered Files tab. Set you layered files as shown below and click ok.
Click File > Open. Open your image. You should now have an image with three frames like the one below.
If you preview your animation, the bubbles will appear to be going down. Press CTRL + A to select all. Click Animation > Reverse Frames.
Now they are headed in the right direction.
If you like the way your animation looks, you can save now. your animation will look something like this
***NOTE** This would look really cool if you used heart shapes with the color set to red for Valentines day.
If you would like a lot of bubbles, like the one used in this tutorial, click file > New. Create a new image 300 X 400 Transparent.
Duplicate this frame twice so you have a total of three frames, all empty at this point.
Activate your bubble animation, CTRL + A to select all. CTRL + C to copy. Activate your new 300 X 400. select all. CTRL + E to paste. You will be pasting only one row of bubbles. CTRL + E again to paste the second row. Continue until you have pasted the bubbles that you desire.
Use your crop tool to crop off any unwanted transparency.
If you would like to slow your bubbles down, select all again. Activate your arrow tool in your tool bar. Right click on your animation and select Frame Properties from the drop down menu. The default number here is to. Change it to the speed that you like. Remember....the higher the number, the slower the animation. Here are 2 animations. They are the same except one has the speed left at 10 and the other is changed to 30.
Click on the animation below to find out how to do that one as well. Notice how the bubbles start out dark and as they go up, they become light.
