Quick and Easy bows in PSP 9 and
PSP X

Open a new transparent image 300 X 300.

Use your selection tool set to rounded rectangle.
Make a selection almost the full width of your image but about 1/2
the height.
as shown below.
IMPORTANT
Your shape MUST be a rectangle, not a square.
Fill your selection with a busy pattern or solid color with a
texture effect.

Select none.
Copy and paste as a new image and set this new image aside for
later.
Use the warp brush tool with the arrows pointing
inward.
Step = 1.

Adjust the size so it is the same width as the
filled area of your image.
Because your shape is a rectangle, your warp area circle will be as
wide but taller then your rectangle.
NOTE
If your warp area circle is wider then your rectangle, you will get
get the right effect. must nit be wider then your rectangle.

Press and hold the left mouse button until it
warps into the shape of a bow.

Make your selection tool active. Copy.
Paste as new image, close the original image.
Apply Eye Candy 4000 > Bevel Boss using the Subtle
Button preset.
If you don't have eye candy 4000,
use the inner bevel that comes with PSP and play with the settings
until you get a soft bevel

Open the image that you had set aside earlier.
with your selection tool set to rectangle, select a small rectangle
for the knot in the center of the bow.
Copy.
Back to your bow image. Paste as a new layer.

Apply the same bevel to the know.
Use the mover tool to get the know in the center of the bow.
Merge visible.
Save.
