How to create a zip file with Windows XP

For this tutorial we'll be using a few fonts to use in the compressed (zip) file

There are two very easy ways to create a zip file using Windows XP
The first method, select the files that you would like to be included in your zip file.
Right click on one of the files. You should have a method of quick compression there.

You will be prompted to give your zip file a name. Name it anything you like but retain the .zip extension.

Your new zip file will be located in the same folder as the original files

Second method, open the folder where the files that you want to compress are.
Right click. Select New > Compressed (zipped) folder

The default name for your new zip file will be New Compressed (zipped) Folder.zip

Rename it to anything you like but retain the .zip extension.
Select the files that you would like to be included in your compressed file.
Simply drag and drop them on top of the zip file.

Notice that the the byte count for the zipped file in the image above is 1.
The byte count for the same file (after dragging and dropping) is higher.

You are now ready to attach your zip file in an email.

Happy zipping.
