Using Layers

When you were in school, do you remember your teacher using an overhead projector? Of course you do. We all do.

The things that she used with the projector were called "Transparencies"

How many times did she put one transparency down, then put another one on top of it to add to what was already there? A lot right?

OK now you understand the basic principals of layers.

Layers are a bunch of "transparencies" each containing a small section of an image.

When all of the transparencies are together the whole image is visible

Now the cool thing about having your image on layers is that, just like transparencies, if one of the layers isn't positioned exactly right, you can move it without disturbing the rest of the layers

You can also rearrange them so that the layers on the bottom can now be in the middle, or where ever you would like them.

Now I will show you how to apply this to Paint Shop Pro Layers
